FutureEverything Labs bring together artists, technologists and future-thinkers to share, innovate and bring the future into the present.

Labs

The Labs engage our world wide community in devising and testing innovations in art, society and technology. Over 15 years, the FutureEverything Labs have consistently broken new ground, each exploring an original theme, and lasting between 9 - 36 months. The Labs feed in and out of the FutureEverything Festival, which acts as a Living Laboratory for participatory experiments, and the FutureEverything Conference, which is an inspiration space where new concepts and ways of doing things come to light.

 
The City Experiment
(2009-ongoing) The City Experiment explores the ways in which cities are being rewired, through a series of urban interventions, debates, and art and design experiments.
Unlimited Connectivity
(2009-ongoing) FutureEverything is running a two year project on the theme of unlimited connectivity and distant collaboration. It explores globally networked events and the potential of effectively unlimited bandwidth and near-zero latency.
Open Data
(2009-ongoing) FutureEverything is among the organisations leading the charge towards Open Data Cities in the UK. We are championing a global movement calling for the opening up of publicly held datasets in accessible formats.
Environment 2.0
(2006-09) Environment 2.0 builds and tests emerging approaches to environmental sustainability and participatory mass observation of climate, environment and biodiverstiy.
