Public Institutions hold huge datasets that are created as part of their function. Although the data is publicly owned many of these institutions are adverse to allowing the public access. If access is granted it is usually in a heavily restricted form making any meaningful interpretation difficult.
The panel will look at the approaches that people are taking in accessing this data and the many challenges faced.
